Our growing team is now seeking several full-time reporters to write and edit content across all platforms, with a strong focus on the web. We are strongly seeking experienced professionals who possess a deep understanding of the automotive industry and emerging technology to join FutureCar.com.

Requirements:

Have 3+ years of digital writing and editing experience for the automotive or technology sector.

OR

You are an experienced journalist with have a strong interest in automotive industry and using your past experience to seek out new topics, companies, startups and automotive industry trends for Futurecar.com.

Past work experience in interviewing industry insiders and developing strong connections within the automotive industry is a strong plus to the position.

Responsibilities:

* Research and develop clear, concise and informative content on technical subjects, specifically in the automotive industry.

* An acute observer of the industry trends, and can independently choose topics which Futurecar covers and best serves its readers.

* A team player who can work well with a skilled team of writers and editors at all levels of experience, including topic pitches, interview proposals, etc.

* Strong research skills, you will fact check all information and sources for accuracy.

* You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are self-directed, while prioritizing deadlines without compromising the quality content provided by Futurecar's talented reporting team.

* Strong English writing, editing and verbal skills.

* Basic Mandarin Chinese is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

* Summarize key analytical and research findings, and develop feature stories on new trends occurring in the automotive industry, including electric vehicles and self-driving technology.

* Contribute to the understanding of industry trends and monitor the market for new and evolving companies and trends.

* Research and develop clear, concise, and informative content on technical subjects.

* You are the team player and work well with fellow writers and editors at all levels of experience, including topic pitch, interview proposals, etc.

* You thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing deadlines and are self-directing without compromising the quality of your output.

* Strong English writing, editing and verbal skills.

* Must provide a link to 3-5 writing samples that demonstrate your writing ability of technical subjects.
