2023 car releases

Looking for a new car in 2023? This comprehensive guide will help you navigate the latest model launches. From supercars to superminis, electric cars to V12s, and hybrids to hot hatchbacks, we've got you covered. And this year, a significant portion of our list is dedicated to electric vehicles. Are you ready to make the switch?

In August 2023, the Jeep Avenger, the brand's first electric vehicle, will hit the market. As the smallest SUV produced by Jeep, it comes equipped with a 54kWh battery, offering a range of up to 249 miles and the ability to charge at speeds of up to 100kW. The Avenger will be available in both single- and dual-motor versions, although power outputs have yet to be revealed. Furthermore, Jeep has plans to introduce three more electric models in Europe by 2025.

September 2023 will bring the arrival of the McLaren 750S, the successor to the 720S. With significant updates and improvements under the hood, this supercar will be available in both coupé and Spider variants. Power has been increased to 740bhp, and McLaren aims to set a new benchmark in the segment with a class-leading power-to-weight ratio of 579bhp per tonne. Additionally, the 750S is the lightest series-production McLaren road car to date, weighing just 79kg more than the Senna hypercar.

The Peugeot 208 has received a makeover, featuring a more imposing grille, hypercar-inspired daytime-running lights, and the introduction of two hybrid powertrains. The electric e-208 model has also been upgraded with a new motor and battery, resulting in increased range and efficiency. Meanwhile, the Peugeot 508, a handsome saloon, has undergone similar enhancements to its exterior and interior. While there may be cheaper alternatives available, the PSE PHEV version of the 508 offers an exhilarating driving experience with its old-school power delivery.

Another Peugeot model receiving updates is the 2008. Alongside a style refresh, the powertrain lineup has been modified, and notable improvements have been made to the all-electric variant. The new Peugeot 2008 offers both petrol and electric options, with a hybrid version set to arrive in 2024. The electric Peugeot e-2008 now boasts a more powerful electric motor and a larger 54kWh battery, the same as the revised e-208. With a power increase of 18% compared to its predecessor, the e-2008 delivers 153hp.
