Mazda North American Operations has conducted a survey that reveals the biggest concerns parents have when traveling with kids. According to the survey, 61% of parents worry about their child getting carsick while traveling. To address this issue, Mazda has partnered with Dr. Mona Amin, a board-certified pediatrician, to help alleviate symptoms of carsickness and highlight the unique features of their new 2024 CX-90.

The survey also found that 85% of parents or caregivers plan to travel by vehicle this year, with the percentage increasing to 93% for parents with three to four children. With the holiday season approaching, many families are preparing for road trips, making it important to understand the challenges they face.

The new 2024 CX-90 crossover from Mazda offers features that can help ease the pain points associated with carsickness. In addition to partnering with Dr. Amin, Mazda has designed the CX-90 to provide a comfortable and smooth ride for families. The survey found that 48% of respondents have experienced a sick child in their vehicle, highlighting the need for solutions to prevent and treat carsickness.

Dr. Mona Amin has developed tips for parents to address carsickness while emphasizing how the features of the Mazda CX-90 can help. One of her tips is to increase airflow in the vehicle, as fresh air and cooler temperatures can alleviate symptoms of nausea. Looking at the horizon or a distant, stationary object can also reduce motion sickness, and minimizing screen time can help as well.

Seating flexibility and convenience are also important factors for families on road trips. The CX-90 can fit up to eight people and offers various seating configurations, including a third row with an elevated view and large windows. The rear doors of the CX-90 open 90 degrees, making it easier for passengers to get in and out of the back rows.

With its sleek design and sophisticated color options, the CX-90 provides a personalized and comfortable experience for all passengers. Mazda North American Operations is headquartered in Irvine, California, and oversees the sales and marketing of Mazda vehicles in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Colombia.

Dr. Mona Amin is a board-certified pediatrician, parenting coach, and social media star. She is passionate about educating parents and caretakers on better care for their children and shares educational information on her Instagram account, podcast, and YouTube channel.

The survey was conducted with 1,000 adults over the age of 25 in the United States who currently own or lease a 3-row vehicle. The responses were collected over a 2-week period in October 2023.
