Nissan Stagea 260RS Autech: GT-R's Wagon Sidekick Available in the U.S.

Fast wagons offer a unique combination of practicality and performance, and the Nissan Stagea 260RS Autech exemplifies this perfectly. Despite never being sold in the United States, one of these rare vehicles is now available for auction in California with a US title.

The Stagea, which shares its platform with the Skyline, was not widely known outside of Japan. While the Skyline is often associated with the high-performance GT-R, the Stagea offered a range of less powerful models, including sedans and wagons. The 260RS Autech, however, stands out for its direct connection to the GT-R.

What sets the 260RS Autech apart is its identical drivetrain to the GT-R. It features the same RB26DETT engine, manual transmission, and all-wheel drive system. Although the engine is officially rated at 276 hp, it is believed to produce even more power. Additionally, this particular version of the Stagea comes with other special features.

Notable upgrades include larger Brembo brakes with calipers, a unique body kit, and a strut tower brace for improved chassis rigidity. The car is also equipped with special 17-inch Stagea wheels and a prominent rear wing. These enhancements make the 260RS Autech truly one-of-a-kind.

With only 1,734 units produced, the opportunity to own this Stagea is rare. Currently up for auction on Cars & Bids, the bidding has already reached $22,472 and is expected to go much higher.
