Home > Industry Analysis > Content

【Summary】The 2024 Nissan Z is rumored to have leaked pricing, with the base Sport model starting at $42,210 and the high-spec Nismo variant priced at $64,990. The Nismo offers upgrades such as a tuned-up engine, RAYS alloy wheels, and special color options. However, the Nismo's price puts it in competition with the Chevrolet Corvette and Ford Mustang Dark Horse, which offer larger engines. The lower-trimmed Z still offers good value compared to the Toyota Supra.

2024 Nissan Z Price Leak

Pricing details for the upcoming 2024 Nissan Z have apparently been leaked on web forums, and it seems that the prices are higher than expected. The base model, the Nissan Z Sport, is said to start at $42,210, while the more hardcore Z Performance is expected to have a starting MSRP of $52,210. These prices are before the addition of the $1,095 destination charge, making the vehicle more expensive than last year's model.

However, it is the high-spec Nismo variant that really stands out in terms of price. The Nismo variant, which features a tuned-up twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 420 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque, is reportedly going to retail for $64,990. In addition to the increased power, the Nismo also comes with a range of upgrades such as RAYS alloy wheels, upgraded brakes, stiffened suspension, Recaro seats, unique side skirts, special color options, and a ducktail spoiler. It is worth noting that the Nismo variant only comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission, while the Z Performance can be equipped with a six-speed manual.

While the base Nissan Z offers good value for the money, the Nismo variant's pricing puts it in close competition with models like the Chevrolet Corvette and Ford Mustang Dark Horse. While these models may not be faster, they do offer larger engines with more power. This may sway some buyers who are not solely interested in the Z's heritage.

Ultimately, the value proposition of the different Z models will become clearer once they are available for test drives. However, the Nismo Z will need to offer significant upgrades over the Performance trim to justify its higher price tag, assuming the leaked pricing information is accurate. Nissan is expected to officially announce the pricing for the 2024 Nissan Z later this month.
