2024 Skoda Superb Unveils Sleeker and Lengthier Design
【Summary】The 2024 Skoda Superb Hatchback has a longer and more aerodynamic body compared to its predecessor. It features a sleek design with a low-slung three-box silhouette, and the boot opens with the rear glass, making it a hatchback. The interior boasts a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster. The lineup includes various versions and offers sustainable materials for the interior.
Skoda has released a new gallery showcasing the upcoming Superb sedan, which will complete the lineup alongside the Combi estate. Despite its low-slung three-box silhouette, the Superb is technically a hatchback, as the boot opens with the rear glass. The first-generation Superb was a four-door sedan, while the second and third generations were five-door hatchbacks.
The 2024 Skoda Superb Hatchback has grown in size compared to its predecessor, measuring 4,912 mm long, 1,834 mm wide, and 1,481 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,841 mm. The sleeker body design has resulted in an improved drag coefficient of 0.24 cd. The hatchback is slightly longer than the Combi estate, with the difference attributed to the rear overhang.
Skoda has already revealed the interior of the Superb, which features a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, and a head-up display. The center console is equipped with rotary push-button dials with integrated screens for controlling various functions. The Superb lineup includes different versions, such as the Essence, Selection, Sportline, and Laurin & Klement, with eco-friendly materials used for the interior textiles.
Unlike the Superb Combi, the Superb Hatchback will not be available with a plug-in hybrid option. The powertrain lineup for the hatchback includes diesel, petrol, and mild-hybrid petrol options, all paired with a DSG automatic transmission. The 1.5 TSI iV plug-in hybrid with 201 hp and over 100 km of electric range will only be offered in the Combi variant.
The 2024 Skoda Superb is set to make its official debut in November, and more teasers are expected to be released by the company leading up to the launch.
