2025 Audi A6 E-Tron: A Sneak Peek at the Upcoming EV's Power
【Summary】A prototype of the upcoming Audi A6 e-tron electric sedan has been spotted, featuring a fully enclosed grille, split lighting units, and angular intakes. The car has a streamlined design with soft curves, flush-mounted door handles, and a sloping roof. The A6 e-tron will be based on the PPE platform and will offer a variety of configurations, including a 375 hp model with a range of around 373 miles. Higher-performance versions with up to 483 hp are also planned.
The Audi A6 e-tron concept was introduced nearly two and a half years ago, and now the production model is getting closer to becoming a reality. A prototype of the electric sedan was recently spotted in Europe, heavily disguised but with a fully enclosed grille and split lighting units similar to the upcoming Q6 e-tron. The car has angular intakes and a wide central opening with a honeycomb mesh insert.
The design of the A6 e-tron features streamlined bodywork with soft curves and flowing surfaces. It also has sizeable side skirts, flush-mounted door handles, and a sloping roof that flows into a rakish windscreen. At the back, the car has slender taillights, a trunk with an integrated spoiler, a sporty diffuser, and a stepped rear bumper.
Although there haven't been many sightings of the interior, it is speculated that the A6 e-tron may have a similar setup to the Q6 e-tron. This could include an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster that seamlessly integrates with a 14.5-inch infotainment system. Additionally, the car could offer a 10.9-inch front passenger display with shutter technology to prevent distractions for the driver.
Both the A6 e-tron and the Q6 e-tron will be built on the new PPE platform. The Q6 e-tron is expected to have a 100 kWh battery pack, powering a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with approximately 375 hp. This configuration should give the car a range of around 373 miles in the WLTP cycle. For those seeking more power, the SQ6 e-tron will offer around 483 hp, and there are plans for a high-performance RS6 e-tron as well.
Originally planned for a debut this year, the A6 e-tron is now expected to be introduced in 2024. Despite the delay, the anticipation for this electric sedan remains high.
