40 mph electric scooter review: Nanrobot N6

For some electric scooter riders, modest speeds of 15-20 mph (24-40 km/h) are plenty. However, for those who want to travel on larger roads or cover farther distances on their scooter commutes, faster speeds are necessary. Nanrobot has introduced their latest model, the Nanrobot N6, with a top speed of 40 mph (65 km/h) to cater to these types of riders.

Unlike some imported scooters, the Nanrobot N6 provides a smooth and stable ride, even at its top speed. It doesn't leave the rider with a rickety feeling that can make them hesitant to fully utilize the scooter's maximum speed.

The Nanrobot N6 is equipped with dual 1,000W hub motors, a 52V 26Ah (1,352 Wh) battery, and 10-inch pneumatic off-road tires. It also features front and rear hydraulic disc brakes and front and rear LED lights for improved safety.

Fast electric scooters can be expensive, but the Nanrobot N6 aims to deliver similar performance at a more affordable price. Priced at $1,899, it offers high-speed capabilities without breaking the bank.

While riding at high speeds, it is important to prioritize safety. The reviewer made sure to wear a full-face helmet and Nanrobot's armored jacket for extra protection.

It is essential to ride at high speeds in appropriate locations. The reviewer rode the Nanrobot N6 on a road with a 45 mph speed limit and a wide bike lane painted on the side. This allowed for a safe and enjoyable riding experience.

The Nanrobot N6's impressive speed is made possible by its powerful dual 1,000W hub motors and large 52V and 26Ah battery. With this battery capacity, riders can expect a range of at least 30 miles (48 km) per charge, and potentially even up to 45 or 50 miles (72-80 km) for those riding at more moderate speeds.

In terms of comfort, the Nanrobot N6 performs well at various speeds. The suspension provides a smooth ride, and the scooter feels nimble and responsive. The 360-degree lighting system enhances visibility, especially at night, and the hydraulic brakes offer confident and reliable stopping power.

One drawback of the Nanrobot N6, shared with many scooters of its style, is the throttle design. The index-finger pull throttle is located right above the brake lever, which can be confusing for new riders. The reviewer personally prefers a different throttle design and finds the index finger throttle less intuitive.

Overall, the Nanrobot N6 delivers on its promise of high performance and affordability. Priced at $1,899, it offers a fast, powerful, and comfortable riding experience. While the throttle design may be a downside for some, the scooter's other features and performance make it a great option for riders seeking speed and reliability.
