Moskvich auto plant expands dealer network

Moskvich, the former Renault auto plant in Russia, has expanded its dealership network to 67 outlets in 35 Russian cities, according to the carmaker's report. The company has partnered with car dealerships in Barnaul, Vologda, Murmansk, Novosibirsk, Penza, Ryazan, Rostov, Surgut, Tambov, Togliatti, Tomsk, and Cherepovets, and these locations are currently preparing to open.

In addition to the new partnerships, Moskvich already has 55 sales and service centers in 25 Russian cities. The company has been actively working to increase its presence and reach in the country.

The Moskvich plant, which started semi-knocked down assembly of cars under the Moskvich brand in November 2022, aims to produce at least 50,000 cars in 2023. This includes 10,000 electric vehicles. The plant produces two models of crossovers, the Moskvich 3 with an internal combustion engine and the electric Moskvich 3e. These models are equipped with components sourced from China's JAC.

With its expansion of the dealership network and increased production targets, Moskvich is positioning itself to meet the growing demand for cars in Russia and contribute to the country's automotive industry.
