Mercedes-Benz recently introduced the second generation of its AMG GT at Pebble Beach Automotive Week. This new model builds upon the success of previous iterations like the two-door GT and the GT 4-Door Coupe.
The Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe maintains the sporty essence of the line while incorporating a 2+2 seat configuration. It boasts updated technology, safety features, and an overall stylish design that sits close to the ground. The standard headlights have been replaced with Mercedes' digital headlight technology.
The car will be available in two model options: the GT 63 Coupe with 577 hp and the GT 55 Coupe with 469 hp. Both models have received enhancements to the engine, including new oil pans and intercoolers. When the GT Coupe reaches a speed of 50 mph, the spoiler automatically adjusts to five different angles to improve handling and reduce drag. Additionally, the new ride control suspension offers standard rear-axle steering.
Pricing details for these vehicles have not been announced yet, but previous iterations started at over $100,000 USD. More information about the pricing and other specifications is expected to be unveiled in the coming months.
In other news from the automotive industry, there is a new Lamborghini Lanzador concept that deserves a closer look.
