Nissan's upcoming electric vehicles could also function as furniture.

Nissan is set to reveal a series of innovative concept cars at the Japan Motor show later this month. The first concept, called the Hyper Urban, is an electric vehicle with a sharp and spiky design. The exterior is adorned with chromatic paint and features scissor doors for easy access to the interior.

Inside the Hyper Urban, Nissan designers have created a funky and luxurious space. There are four individual seats that resemble Business Class travel, with passengers in the back getting a large swiveling display for entertainment. The front seats can collapse and fold into the back seats, creating a private relaxing space with footrests. The concept also showcases the Vehicle to Home (V2H) and Vehicle to Grid (V2G) capabilities, allowing the car's battery packs to power the home or feed surplus energy back into the grid.

Nissan's Intelligent Charging Management System, which features AI technology, can autonomously charge vehicles and power buildings, ensuring efficient management of power. This technology is already present in some of Nissan's current EVs and has been used to power homes during natural disasters.

While the Hyper Urban concept may not be available for personal use, it hints at a more radical design direction for future Nissan cars. This, along with other recent concepts from the brand, suggests that upcoming electric vehicles will continue to push boundaries in terms of design and technology.
