2024 Fiat Panda update

Fiat is set to make a comeback with the release of an all-new Fiat Panda, potentially arriving in mid-2024. The Italian brand has recently unveiled new models, including the retro-inspired 600e electric crossover and the Topolino quadricycle. Our exclusive renders provide a glimpse of what the new Fiat Panda could look like.

On July 11, 2024, Fiat plans to unveil more affordable cars to compete with budget-friendly rivals such as Dacia, Hyundai's i10, and Kia's Picanto city cars. Fiat has hinted that the new model could be inspired by the Panda and the minimalistic Centoventi concept car.

With Dacia's recent announcement of the Spring affordable EV coming to the UK, Fiat aims to offer a rival cheap EV. The Panda's reputation as a small, affordable, and practical version of the 500 suggests that it could also make a comeback in EV form. Petrol versions may serve as entry-level models, potentially utilizing the 1.2-litre PureTech unit found in Peugeot and Citroen cars.

Fiat has not disclosed the potential return of other iconic small Fiat names, such as the Punto, Tipo, and Uno, but multiple models in the B-segment have not been ruled out. The upcoming models are expected to be between 3.6 and 4.5 meters long, with the extra Italian flair being a key differentiating factor from rivals like Dacia.

Fiat CEO Olivier Francois emphasized the brand's focus on simplicity, coolness, and joyfulness. He mentioned the possibility of taking design cues from the Panda and the 1980s to create a simple car that brings joy. As part of the Stellantis Group, Fiat can leverage a wider range of platforms and parts from brands like Peugeot, Citroen, and Vauxhall to keep costs down. While extravagant features from the Centoventi Concept may not be included, simplicity will be a key aspect of the new Fiat Panda.
