2024 Nissan Z Pricing Revealed

Pricing details for the 2024 Nissan Z have apparently been leaked on web forums, and it seems that the upcoming model will be a bit more expensive than expected. The higher-spec Nismo variant, in particular, will stretch your wallet.

According to information shared on the New Nissan Z Forum, the 2024 Nissan Z Sport will have a starting price of $42,210. The more hardcore Z Performance, on the other hand, is expected to start at $52,210. These prices do not include the $1,095 destination charge, making the vehicle more expensive than last year's model.

While the starting price of the coupe remains close to the anticipated $42,000 due to inflation, the Nismo variant does not offer the same performance value as the lower trims.

The Nismo version features a tuned-up twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 420 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. However, it is reportedly going to retail for $64,990. In addition to the increased power, owners will get RAYS alloy wheels, upgraded brakes, stiffened suspension, Recaro seats, unique side skirts, special color options, a ducktail spoiler, and more. These are in addition to the upgrades found on the Z Performance, such as a limited-slip differential. It's worth noting that the Nismo only comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission, while the Performance trim can be equipped with a six-speed manual.

While the Nismo variant is a nice package, it is more expensive compared to its competition. Nissan has positioned it close to the Chevrolet Corvette and Ford Mustang Dark Horse, which may have larger engines with more power. This could sway buyers who are not solely focused on the Z's heritage.

However, the lower-trimmed Z still offers a great value for the money. In terms of price and on-paper performance, it easily surpasses the 2.0-liter model of the Toyota Supra. Things become a bit more complicated when comparing it to a Toyota equipped with the 3.0-liter DOHC 24-valve inline six.

The true value proposition of these models will become clear once people have the opportunity to drive them. However, the Nismo Z will need to offer a significant upgrade over the Performance trim to justify its higher price tag, assuming the leaked MSRP is accurate.

Regardless, Nissan is expected to officially announce the pricing for the 2024 model year of the Z later this month.
