7,300 bookings, 3,300 units delivered, RS variant popularity

Honda Malaysia (HMSB) has reported that the 2023 Honda WR-V has received nearly 7,300 bookings since its local debut, which is just under two months ago. As of September 6, the company has delivered close to 3,300 units, an increase of 1,100 units compared to the previous month.

The WR-V is available in four variants: S, E, V, and RS. All variants are equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated DOHC i-VTEC engine that produces 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a CVT. The on-the-road prices range from RM89,900 to RM107,900, excluding insurance.

According to HMSB, the RS variant is the most popular choice among customers, accounting for 62% of the deliveries. The V variant follows with 19% of the deliveries, while the E variant makes up 13% of the volume. The base S variant represents the remaining 6%.

HMSB also provided information on the popularity of the five exterior colors: Ignite Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Stellar Diamond Pearl, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, and Crystal Black Pearl. Meteoroid Grey Metallic and Ignite Red Metallic are the most popular, with 25% and 24% of bookings respectively. Stellar Diamond Pearl is surprisingly third with 22% of bookings, ahead of Platinum White Pearl at 19%. Crystal Black Pearl accounts for 10% of the bookings.

The waiting period for the WR-V is currently around two months, although this may vary depending on the variant and color chosen. The waiting period for the Stellar Diamond Pearl color is slightly longer.
