Aluminum Car's Porsche 718 RSK Silhouette Required 2,500 Hours to Complete
【Summary】Runge Cars has created a hand-made aluminum car, the Runge RS, with a design inspired by late '50s race cars. The car took 2,500 hours to build and has a silhouette reminiscent of the classic Porsche 718 race car. With less than 20 cars produced so far, the Runge RS stands out with its all-aluminum handmade body.
Runge Cars, known for their exceptional craftsmanship, has produced less than 20 cars to date. One of their standout creations is the Runge RS, a smaller and more subdued car compared to the usual monstrous American muscle cars we see from AutotopiaLA. What sets the Runge RS apart is its all-aluminum handmade body, reminiscent of the sleek and shiny Dodge Viper, which is also crafted by the company's owner, Chris Runge.
The Runge RS is built on a tube frame chassis with a wheelbase of 83 inches. The goal of this car is to capture the essence of late '50s race car design. Chris dedicated an impressive 2,500 hours to meticulously handcrafting the Runge RS, resulting in a head-turning sports car. Its silhouette is reminiscent of the iconic Porsche 718 race car that made its motorsports debut at the prestigious 1957 24 Hours of Le Mans.
