Audi S3-powered Volkswagen Type 2 custom build
【Summary】This Volkswagen Type 2 has been transformed into a unique camper trailer with a 2.0-litre Audi S3 engine and automatic gearbox. It is now up for auction with an estimated price of £45k to £55k. The camper offers more living space with a Westfalia-style roof and fold-out awning.
A unique Volkswagen Type 2 creation is currently up for auction with an estimated price range of £45k to £55k. This particular Type 2 is unlike any other we've seen in years, making it the coolest one yet.
Instead of opting for a larger camper, the owner of this Type 2 decided to get creative. They purchased a second Type 2 and set out to create a one-of-a-kind fifth wheel tractor unit and trailer combination.
The end result is truly excellent and is now being auctioned on Car & Classic. With an estimated price range of £45k to £55k, it's definitely a unique and valuable vehicle. What sets this creation apart is the fact that it doesn't rely on the Type 2's old air-cooled flat four engine. Instead, it features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine and automatic gearbox from an Audi S3, cleverly hidden under the coupling system.
By separating the cabin and drivetrain from one of the buses, the living space has been significantly increased. Additionally, a Westfalia-style roof and a fold-out awning have been added, further enhancing the functionality and comfort of this unique camper.
Just imagine the attention and admiration this extraordinary creation would attract on a campsite. It's truly a one-of-a-kind vehicle that combines the charm of a classic Type 2 with the power and modern features of an Audi S3.
