Mazda's senior management team undergoes alterations

Mazda Motors has announced changes to its sales leadership teams in Europe and the UK as part of its efforts to transition to electrification. After serving as sales director for Mazda UK for 12 years, Peter Allibon will now take on the role of director of sales and dealer network for Mazda Europe. In his new position, Allibon will oversee 22 markets and report to the vice president of sales and customer service starting from November 1.

Laura Brailey, who currently serves as head of retail operations, will be replacing Allibon as the sales director for Mazda's UK business. Brailey has a long history with Mazda, having joined the company as an analyst in 1995 and working her way up to various managerial positions. Her experience and familiarity with Mazda UK and its dealer partners make her well-suited for the role of sales director.

Prior to joining Mazda UK, Allibon held the position of fleet and remarking director in 2008 before transitioning to the sales role in 2011. Before his time at Mazda, he worked in different roles within Ford Credit and the banking industry. In his new European role, Allibon will have responsibility for sales planning across 22 markets, with annual sales exceeding 160,000 units, as well as managing the strategic relationship with Mazda's European dealer networks.

Jeremy Thomson, the managing director of Mazda UK, expressed his confidence in the leadership team's ability to navigate the ongoing changes in the automotive industry. He praised Allibon for his contributions during his time as sales director and expressed his support for his new role in Mazda Europe. Thomson also commended Brailey's promotion, highlighting her accomplishments and the value she brings to the sales and dealer operation teams.
