Devastated Arkansas man loses beloved Chevy Monte Carlo in routine check-up

An Arkansas man named Nathaniel recently experienced heartbreak when his beloved car, a 1998 Chevy Monte Carlo named Chase, was written off. Nathaniel gained attention over a decade ago when he revealed his intimate relationship with Chase on an episode of TLC's 'My Strange Addiction'. The episode showed him expressing his love for the car by engaging in intimate acts with its machinery. However, Nathaniel recently shared an update on TLC's Instagram, stating that their love had run out of fuel.

Although Nathaniel has tried to move on with several new cars, he admitted that he can't replace Chase and that his current fling is more of a "friends with benefits" situation. In his emotional update, Nathaniel expressed his sadness over losing his soulmate four years ago and how he still thinks about Chase every day. The car was involved in a serious accident during a routine check-up, resulting in its destruction. Nathaniel revealed that he still feels like Chase deserved better.

Nathaniel is one of the rare individuals who experience objectophilia or objectum-sexuality, a condition where people are attracted to physical objects rather than people. Some examples of objects people have fallen in love with include a Boeing-737 plane and a bundle of balloons. Nathaniel was drawn to Chase because he felt a connection with its parts, and he described their first meeting as love at first sight.

To cope with the loss of Chase, Nathaniel has turned his bedroom into a shrine for the car. Chase's bumper has become the headboard of his bed, and he has decorated the room with nostalgic pictures of the two of them together. Nathaniel explained that he wanted Chase to be close to him in the special space of his bedroom. He reflected on the things he took for granted and tearfully expressed his love for Chase.

Although Nathaniel still thinks about Chase, he has moved on with several other cars. He introduced his new lovers, including a Lexus ES330 named Lex, an SUV named Jet, a black sedan named Jason, and a luxurious sedan named Jordan. Nathaniel described his affection for each car and admitted to being intimate with them. He emphasized that none of his cars feel jealous of each other and that he has plenty of love to go around.
