【Summary】Gordon Ramsay attempts to redeem himself after his previous failed grilled cheese sandwich. In a new Instagram video, he uses the engine of an Aston Martin sports car as an oven to cook the sandwich. The video cuts before revealing the final result, leaving viewers curious. Ramsay also announces the return of his show Kitchen Nightmares after a decade off the air.
Gordon Ramsay is on a mission to redeem himself after a culinary fail that received backlash from fans. In a video posted on Instagram, the British chef explained his plan while walking around a race track. He referred to his 2020 cooking tutorial for the "ultimate grilled cheese sandwich" in Tasmania, which received criticism for using the wrong cheese, thick bread slices, and not properly melting the cheese.
In Sunday's video, Ramsay acknowledged the criticism he received for his sandwich and expressed his desire to give fans a grilled cheese like no other. He revealed that he would be using a more powerful oven in the form of a unique Aston Martin sports car with a V12, 1,200 horsepower engine.
Ramsay then proceeded to stack cheese slices between toasted bread and wrapped the sandwich in aluminum foil. He placed the wrapped sandwich on top of the Aston Martin's engine, closed the hood, and prepared to take a ride around the race track.
After a couple of laps, Ramsay retrieved his sandwich and shared the video on Instagram. However, some of his followers were disappointed as the video ended before revealing the results of the sandwich. Despite this, Ramsay's high-octane sandwich-making stunt was enjoyed by many.
In addition to his grilled cheese redemption, Ramsay will soon have another redemption as his popular series Kitchen Nightmares returns to Fox after a decade off the air. Ramsay admitted that he made the decision to cancel the show after a negative experience with a restaurant owner in the South of France. The Kitchen Nightmares reboot is set to premiere on September 25th.
