Improved Buick Wildcat Design Study
【Summary】The Buick Wildcat Design Study is showcased, revealing a more attractive design than the concept. Buick is transitioning to electrified crossovers and leaving behind traditional sedans. The animated car used to convince management appears more production-ready and visually appealing compared to the actual concept.
The General Motors Design studio recently provided a glimpse into the creation of the first version of the modern Buick Wildcat. This concept car made its debut just over a year ago and was intended to showcase Buick's future design direction. Interestingly, elements of this design can already be seen in newer models like the 2024 Envista.
In addition to showcasing the Wildcat, Buick also used the video introduction as an opportunity to announce its shift away from traditional sedans such as the LaCrosse and Regal. Instead, the company is embracing a new era of electrified crossovers. Buick even unveiled a brand-new logo to symbolize this transformation.
Curiously, the animated car used in the video to convince Buick's management to pursue the concept appears to be more production-ready than the final product. In our opinion, this version of the car is even more visually appealing than the somewhat radical concept that was ultimately produced.
