Lexus LM Arrives in Europe as a Premium Minivan, Captured in Extensive Gallery

The 2024 Lexus LM is now officially available in Europe and the UK, six months after its initial unveiling. The automaker has released an extensive media gallery showcasing the luxurious minivan.

European customers have the option to choose between four or seven seats. The four-seat version is considered the most luxurious, with rear seats inspired by first-class airline cabins. These seats can be reclined to a fully horizontal position and are designed to reduce head-sway and improve posture. They also offer heated and ventilated functions, seven in-seat massage functions, and a tilt function to prevent sliding forward during braking.

The seats are covered in semi-aniline leather and come with extended ottomans. The seven-seat version features VIP seats in the second row and flip-up seats in the third row, arranged in a two-plus-one configuration.

Lexus has incorporated various features to create a private jet-like experience in the LM. This includes a 23-speaker Mark Levinson 3D surround system, a 48-inch ultra-widescreen monitor (exclusive to the four-seat version), Active Noise Control, noise-reducing wheels and tires, and a five-layer headlining in the four-seat model. The seven-seat model, on the other hand, has a slightly less advanced 21-speaker audio array and a smaller 14-inch drop-down screen in the ceiling.

The driver and front-seat passenger are not forgotten either. The LM comes equipped with a 14-inch infotainment display, a Qi wireless charger, two USB-C ports, ambient lighting, a digital rear-view mirror, and a 10-inch head-up display.

All European and UK models will be sold in LM 350h guise, with left-hand drive models having all-wheel drive as standard. British customers can choose between front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The LM is powered by a 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain producing 247 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.7 seconds and has a top speed of 190 km/h (118 mph). Drivers can select from Normal, Eco, Sport, and Custom driving modes.

The LM is equipped with a range of safety features, including emergency steering assist, adaptive cruise control, proactive driving assist, a driver monitor, lane change assistance, and front-cross traffic alert.

Lexus has implemented its Braking Posture Control system in the LM, which controls vehicle roll and pitch under braking by adjusting the front-rear distribution of braking force. The car also features Smooth Stop Control, which reduces the rocking feeling when coming to a stop. The suspension system, consisting of MacPherson struts up front and rear double wishbones with trailing arms at the rear, maximizes occupant comfort and includes Frequency Sensitive Valves to enhance damper performance at micro-amplitude and high-frequency levels.

Pricing details for each market where the LM will be sold have not yet been announced. However, in the UK, the starting price is £89,995 ($109,680) and it can go up to £112,995 ($137,710).
