Liberty Walk's Ford Bronco Widebody: Narrower Than a Raptor

Japanese widebody kit maker Liberty Walk is known for its bolt-on widebody kits for modified street Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Nissan GT-Rs. However, they have now ventured into the world of trucks with a widebody kit for the modern Ford Bronco. This unexpected move has surprised many, considering that trucks have their own history of bolt-on overfenders. Nevertheless, the Liberty Walk widebody kit for the Bronco is now available for purchase, and it looks impressive.

The concept of overfenders has always been controversial and has evolved alongside the widebody kit trend. Initially, widebodies drew inspiration from the fender flares of race cars in the '70s and '80s. Then, there was a fiberglass bling craze in the '90s and '00s. Finally, we arrived at the overfender mania of the modern day. Throughout each era, there have been excellent widebody kits, often designed with a focus on racing and performance rather than aesthetics. However, the primary purpose of widebodies has always been to enhance style.

When it comes to the Bronco, Liberty Walk's fender kit surprisingly complements the vehicle's rugged and industrial design. While their kits for Lamborghini Aventadors or Ferrari F40s may seem out of place due to the exposed rivets and sinuous shapes contrasting with the sleek supercar designs, the kit works harmoniously with the Bronco. In fact, it could pass as a factory option.

Compared to their other kits, the Liberty Walk kit for the Bronco is less extreme but has the potential to appeal to a wider audience. Priced at $3,080, Bronco owners now have the option to enhance the visual toughness of their vehicles with this high-quality fender kit. Perhaps we will soon start seeing these kits on off-road trails across the United States.
