Lucid Air IAA Show Debut

Lucid has provided a sneak peek of the upcoming Air Midnight Dream Edition, a limited-production model set to make its world debut at the IAA Mobility Show in Munich on September 5. This new variant of the Lucid Air adopts a sinister styling theme, featuring many dark details. It is essentially an Air Dream Edition with Lucid's Stealth theme, a combination that was not previously available.

On the exterior, the Lucid Air Midnight Dream Edition showcases a dark polished exterior trim and 21-inch Aero Dream wheels with satin black inserts. Inside, the cabin is designed to evoke the atmosphere of the nighttime Mojave Desert, with a darker color scheme.

It is worth noting that the Lucid Air Dream Edition, which had a production run of 500 units, has already been sold out in the United States since 2021. As a result, the Air Midnight Dream Edition is exclusively intended for the European market and will not be available for purchase in the US.

According to Lucid, this exclusive luxury electric sedan offers a combined range of up to 496 miles (799 kilometers) on the WLTP test cycle and has a combined power consumption of 16.6 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers.

Lucid began delivering the Air Dream Edition in Europe in December 2022, offering two variants: the 933-horsepower Range and the 1,111-hp Performance. The Dream Edition had a starting price of 218,000 euros in Germany, equivalent to $235,500. However, due to high demand, the limited production run of the Dream Edition has already sold out, making it no longer available to order.

As for the pricing of the Lucid Air Midnight Dream Edition, it is expected to be higher than the Dream Edition. The model will be showcased at Lucid's Studio in Munich during the IAA event, located at Odeonsplatz 2. Initially, on September 5 and 6, the Studio will only be accessible to the media and invited guests. However, starting from September 7, the Studio will be open to the public for viewing of the Air Midnight Dream Edition.

In addition to the permanent Studio in Munich, Lucid will also establish a pop-up Studio at Königsplatz 1 in the city. This pop-up location will host the European premiere of the Air Pure, and visitors will have the opportunity to take short test drives of Lucid's most accessible model on a nearby street.
