Three Bulgarian citizens living in England who were arrested in February on suspicion of espionage offences have now been charged with possessing false identity documents, according to the Metropolitan Police. The suspects, Orlin Roussev, Bizer Dzhambazov, and Katrin Ivanova, were taken into custody after their appearance in the Central Criminal Court in London last month.

Reports from British media suggest that the trio is believed to have been working for Russian security services. The charges against them specifically relate to the possession of false documents, which were discovered among a total of 34 identification pieces found in their possession. These documents include passports and identity cards from various countries such as the UK, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, and the Czech Republic, as reported by the BBC.
