Tesla's Cybertruck: Musk's Grave Mistake

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has addressed the challenges faced by the company in bringing the Tesla Cybertruck to the market. During a recent Tesla earnings call, Musk explained that the angular design of the electric pickup has presented numerous problems when it comes to scaling up production.

Due to these challenges, Tesla missed its Q3 deadline for the Cybertruck's launch. The company is now aiming for a November 30 release date, which marks the sixth delivery date that has been announced so far. Musk referred to the Cybertruck as a "special product" that is difficult to bring to market and reach volume production.

However, starting deliveries is just the first hurdle for Tesla. The company will then need to rapidly scale up production in order to meet the demand from the estimated 2 million people on the Cybertruck waitlist. Unfortunately, Musk has warned that mass-production of the truck is not expected to begin until 2025.

Tesla's goal is to achieve an annual output of 250,000 trucks per year by 2025. Musk also emphasized that there will be significant challenges in reaching volume production and making the Cybertruck cashflow positive, which is a normal part of the process.

With a delivery date of November 30 and a production goal of 250,000 trucks per year by 2025, it remains to be seen whether Musk and Tesla will be able to meet these targets. Will we soon be witnessing the eighth Cybertruck delivery day, or will the company overcome the challenges and achieve success?
