In celebration of the Hachi-Roku AE86 Corolla's 40th anniversary, Toyota has decided to release a limited edition model. Since the GR86 is considered the spiritual successor of the AE86, it only made sense to pay homage to its iconic predecessor with a special edition.
The 40th Anniversary Limited Edition is based on the RZ trim, which is equivalent to the top-spec Premium model in America. Customers can choose between two classic colors: white or red. To further enhance its nostalgic appeal, the limited edition model also features decals reminiscent of the red/black and white/black two-tone hues that distinguished the Hachi-Roku from other Corolla models.
