Used car prices rise in shock model revelation

In recent times, there has been a lot of news about the declining prices of used electric vehicles (EVs) and which models are losing the most value. However, the situation is quite different for traditionally-powered used cars.
According to Auto Trader's latest Retail Price Index, used car retail prices have been rising for 41 consecutive months. This means that the value of used cars has been increasing steadily.
Using the same data, we can now identify the used cars that have experienced the biggest price hikes this month. Looking at the cars sold in the month ending August 20, the Peugeot Partner Teepee takes the top spot with a year-on-year rise of 17.1%.
The list of cars with the biggest value increase is dominated by small and affordable models. The Fiat Panda, Volkswagen Beetle, and Hyundai i30 are among the top 10 cars that have seen their values rise the most.
Other cars on the list include the Volkswagen up!, Citroen Berlingo, and Hyundai i10. The only premium brand model that made it to the list is the Mercedes SL Class.
