According to previous reports, the 'T7' Multivan and California have undergone a change in their base architecture. Instead of being based on the load-carrying chassis of the Transporter van, they are now built on the car-derived architecture shared with the Volkswagen Golf hatch and Tiguan SUV. The Transporter van, on the other hand, will be twinned with the Ford Transit Custom for its next generation in 2024.
