2023 car releases

Looking for a new car in 2023? Our comprehensive guide is the perfect place to start. We have compiled a list of all the major model launches planned for the next 12 months, covering a wide range of vehicles from supercars to superminis, electric cars to V12s, and hybrids to hot hatchbacks.

The shift towards electric vehicles (EVs) is having some unintended consequences, as car manufacturers are pushing combustion technology to its limits before it eventually phases out. However, amidst these changes, manufacturers have not completely abandoned the familiar models we know and love. For every new nameplate, there is still a place for the iconic models like the BMW 5 Series.

In the second half of 2023, there are several exciting new models that will be hitting showrooms. In October 2023, the highly anticipated eighth generation of the BMW 5 Series will be available. This premium saloon will initially be offered with a single pure-ICE variant in the UK, with more powerful plug-in hybrids and a fully electric i5 planned for mid-2024. The range-topping M60 xDrive will boast an impressive 593bhp and 605lb ft of torque.

Another exciting addition to the electric car market is the BMW i7 M70. This is the brand's most powerful electric car to date, featuring a dual-motor powertrain that delivers 650bhp and 811lb ft of torque. With a 0-62mph time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 155mph, the i7 M70 is a true performance electric vehicle.

The long-awaited Fisker Ocean will also be arriving in the UK. This electric SUV comes with innovative features such as a solar roof, which is said to add 1500 miles of range annually, and a 113kWh battery pack that provides a range of 440 miles per charge.

For those looking for a thrilling driving experience, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is the perfect choice. This is Hyundai N's first electric hot hatch, boasting dual motors and up to 641bhp. With a blistering 0-62mph time of just 3.4 seconds, it can rival even the BMW M3. The Ioniq 5 N also offers unique features like jolting between shifts for an enhanced analogue feel and an engine soundtrack that emulates the sonic boom of fighter jets.
