2024 Fiat Panda update

Fiat is set to make a comeback with the release of an all-new Fiat Panda, potentially arriving in mid-2024. The Italian brand has recently unveiled new models, including the retro-inspired 600e electric crossover and the Topolino quadricycle. Exclusive renders of the new Fiat Panda give a glimpse of what it could look like.

On July 11, 2024, Fiat will celebrate its 125th birthday by unveiling more affordable cars to compete with budget-friendly rivals like Dacia and Hyundai and Kia's lower-end city cars. Fiat has hinted that its latest new model could be inspired by the Panda and the minimalistic Centoventi concept car from 2019. The brand may also introduce a rival cheap EV to compete with Dacia's Spring affordable EV.

The Fiat Panda, known for being small, affordable, and practical, could make a comeback in EV form. However, petrol versions could also be available, using the 1.2-litre PureTech unit found in Peugeot and Citroen cars. Fiat has not ruled out the return of other iconic small Fiat names, such as the Punto, Tipo, and Uno, and may have multiple models in the B-segment.

Fiat CEO Olivier Francois emphasized the importance of Italian flair in their upcoming models, stating that simplicity and joy are key. As part of the Stellantis Group, Fiat can utilize a wider range of platforms and parts to keep costs down. While extravagant features from the Centoventi Concept may not be included, simplicity will be a focus.
