2024 Fiat Panda: updated information

Fiat is set to make a comeback with the release of an all-new Fiat Panda potentially in mid-2024. The Italian brand has recently unveiled several new models, including the retro-inspired 600e electric crossover and the Topolino quadricycle. Our exclusive renders provide a glimpse of what the new Fiat Panda could look like.

On July 11, 2024, Fiat will celebrate its 125th birthday by unveiling more affordable cars to compete with budget-friendly rivals such as Dacia, Hyundai's i10, and Kia's Picanto city cars. Fiat has hinted that its latest model could be inspired by the Panda and the minimalistic Centoventi concept car. With Dacia's Spring affordable EV coming to the UK, Fiat is likely to introduce a rival cheap EV.

The Fiat Panda is known for being a small, affordable, and practical version of the Fiat 500. It is possible that the Panda will make a comeback in EV form. However, petrol versions could also be available, using the 1.2-litre PureTech unit found in Peugeot and Citroen cars under the Stellantis mothership.

Fiat has not disclosed whether other iconic small Fiat models, such as the Punto, Tipo, and Uno, will make a return. However, it has not ruled out the possibility of having multiple models in the B-segment. The upcoming Fiat models will be between 3.6 and 4.5 meters long and will offer the extra Italian flair that sets them apart from rival Dacia.

Fiat CEO Olivier Francois stated that the focus is on creating something simple, cool, and joyful, with design cues taken from the Panda and the 1980s. As part of the Stellantis Group, Fiat can utilize a wider range of platforms and parts to help keep costs down. While extravagant features of the Centoventi Concept may not be included, simplicity will be a key aspect of the new models.
