2024 Fiat Panda updates

Fiat is set to make a comeback with the release of a new Fiat Panda, potentially arriving in mid-2024. Exclusive renders of the car show a minimalistic design with a focus on affordability. This follows Fiat's unveiling of new models such as the retro-inspired 600e electric crossover and the Topolino quadricycle. On its 125th birthday, Fiat plans to unveil more affordable cars to compete with budget-friendly rivals Dacia and Hyundai and Kia's city cars.

The new Fiat Panda could be inspired by the Centoventi concept car, which was revealed in 2019. It is rumored that the Panda could be offered as an electric vehicle to compete with Dacia's affordable EV, the Spring. However, petrol versions of the Panda could also be available, using the 1.2-litre PureTech engine from Peugeot and Citroen cars.

Fiat has not confirmed the return of other iconic small Fiat models such as the Punto, Tipo, and Uno, but multiple models in the B-segment have not been ruled out. The upcoming Fiat models will be between 3.6 and 4.5 meters long, offering Italian flair that sets them apart from Dacia. Fiat CEO Olivier Francois emphasized the brand's focus on simplicity, joy, and Italian design cues. As part of the Stellantis Group, Fiat can utilize a wider range of platforms and parts to reduce costs.

While extravagant features from the Centoventi Concept may not be included in the new Panda, simplicity will be a key aspect of the car's design.
