Tesla's Cybertruck Draws Enthusiastic Crowds Before Launch

Tesla, Inc.'s highly anticipated Cybertruck launch is just days away, and it seems to be generating significant interest. The electric pickup truck, often referred to as Tesla's "iPhone moment," is set to be unveiled to customers at a launch event on November 30.

Photos of the Cybertruck in various Tesla showrooms across the country have been shared by fans, indicating the high level of curiosity surrounding the vehicle. One user on the X platform posted a picture of a long queue of people waiting to see the Cybertruck at a showroom in Tampa, Florida. Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to the post with a simple "Cool." Another user shared pictures of enthusiasts lining up outside a showroom in Langley, Canada.

Elon Musk confirmed on the X platform that the Cybertrucks are on their way to Tesla stores in North America. According to Tesla influencer Sawyer Merritt, the Cybertrucks are already on display in 5.5% of all U.S. Tesla showrooms.

The Cybertruck has divided analysts, particularly due to its unconventional design. Gary Black from Future Fund believes that the vehicle will have a positive impact on the rest of Tesla's product lineups, creating a "halo effect." Gene Munster from Deepwater Asset Management, on the other hand, sees capacity as a concern rather than demand and expects the Cybertruck to contribute only marginally to growth. Philippe Houchois, an analyst from Jefferies, has a less positive view of the Cybertruck, calling it an "off mission" product and suggesting that Tesla should suspend the launch.

Although there are over 2 million reservations for the Cybertruck, it remains to be seen how many of those will translate into firm orders. Tesla has not yet confirmed the pricing and trims for the vehicle. As of Friday's session, Tesla stock closed at $235.45.
