2024 Fiat Panda updates

Fiat is set to make a comeback with the release of an all-new Fiat Panda potentially in mid-2024. The Italian brand has recently unveiled new models including the retro-inspired 600e electric crossover and the Topolino quadricycle. Exclusive renders of the new Fiat Panda have been released, giving a preview of its design.

On Fiat's 125th birthday, which falls on July 11, 2024, the brand plans to unveil more affordable cars to compete with rivals such as Dacia, Hyundai, and Kia. Fiat has hinted that the new model could be inspired by the Panda and the minimalistic Centoventi concept car. It is expected that Fiat will aim to rival Dacia's affordable electric vehicle, the Spring.

The Fiat Panda is known for its small size, affordability, and practicality. It is possible that the new Panda will be available in both electric and petrol versions. The petrol versions may use the 1.2-litre PureTech unit found in Peugeot and Citroen cars. Fiat has not confirmed whether other iconic small Fiat names, such as the Punto, Tipo, and Uno, will make a return.

Fiat CEO Olivier Francois has emphasized the brand's focus on simplicity, joy, and Italian flair. The upcoming models will be between 3.6 and 4.5 meters long, offering extra Italian style compared to rival Dacia. As part of the Stellantis Group, Fiat can leverage a wider range of platforms and parts to keep costs down. While features like swappable batteries from the Centoventi Concept are unlikely to be included, simplicity will be a key aspect of the new Fiat Panda.
