2024 Toyota C-HR UK pricing starts at £31,290
【Summary】Toyota has announced the pricing and specifications for the new 2024 C-HR crossover in the UK. The range starts at £31,290 and includes various trim levels with different features and engine options. The entry-level models come with a 1.8-litre hybrid powertrain, while higher trim levels offer more advanced features and design elements.
Toyota has unveiled the pricing, equipment, and engine specifications for the second-generation C-HR crossover. The new C-HR aims to attract new customers to the brand and comes with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, a first for the model.
The range starts with the Icon trim, priced at £31,290. This trim level includes 17-inch alloy wheels, cloth upholstery, a 7.0-inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay, and various safety systems. Stepping up to the Design trim costs an additional £3395 and adds 18-inch alloys, a 12.3-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, and a panoramic sunroof. The Excel trim, priced at £38,150, comes with 19-inch alloys, a JBL sound system, and front sports seats.
The Icon, Design, and Excel trims are only available with the 1.8-liter hybrid powertrain. This powertrain combines a 97bhp petrol engine with a 94bhp electric motor, resulting in a total power output of 138bhp. The 1.8 hybrid sends power to the front wheels and boasts a fuel efficiency of 56.5-58.9mpg on the WLTP cycle.
The higher trim levels, GR Sport and Premiere Edition, are priced at £40,645 and £42,720 respectively. These trims make the C-HR slightly more expensive than the equivalent Nissan Qashqai but cheaper than the equivalent Toyota RAV4 PHEV.
The production C-HR adopts the radical design of the C-HR Prologue concept, which was unveiled last year. It features the new 'hammerhead' front-end design that was first seen on the latest Toyota Prius. The C-HR is the first SUV in Toyota's European lineup to showcase this design. Higher-grade trims also offer 19-inch and 20-inch alloys, as well as two-tone paintwork.
