2025 Audi A6 E-Tron: A Sneak Peek at the Upcoming EV's Power

The production model of the Audi A6 e-tron, which was introduced as a concept two and a half years ago, is getting closer to becoming a reality. A prototype of the electric sedan was recently spotted in Europe, heavily disguised but with some noticeable features. The car has a fully enclosed grille and split lighting units similar to those found on the upcoming Q6 e-tron. It also has angular intakes and a wide central opening with a honeycomb mesh insert.

The design of the A6 e-tron includes streamlined bodywork with soft curves and flowing surfaces. It has sizeable side skirts, flush-mounted door handles, and a sloping roof that blends into a rakish windscreen. At the back, the car has slender taillights, a trunk with an integrated spoiler, a sporty diffuser, and a stepped rear bumper.

Although there have been numerous sightings of the A6 e-tron, the interior has remained mostly hidden. It is speculated that the model may have a similar setup to the Q6 e-tron, with an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster flowing into a 14.5-inch infotainment system. Additionally, there could be a 10.9-inch front passenger display with shutter technology to prevent distractions for the driver.

Both the A6 e-tron and the Q6 e-tron will be built on the new PPE platform. The Q6 e-tron is expected to have a 100 kWh battery pack powering a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with approximately 375 hp. This setup is estimated to give the car a range of around 373 miles in the WLTP cycle. For those seeking more performance, there will be an SQ6 e-tron with around 483 hp, and potentially a high-performance RS6 e-tron in the future.

The A6 e-tron was originally planned to be introduced this year, but its debut has been pushed back to 2024. Despite the delay, excitement is building for this electric sedan.
