65mph Maeving RM1S development

Maeving is preparing to launch a new and improved version of its RM1 electric motorcycle, known as the RM1S. Existing customers received a message on the morning of August 22, 2023, announcing the upcoming release of the ‘S' model. The main highlight of the RM1S is its top speed, which has been increased by 20mph to reach an impressive 65mph.

The message sent to customers stated, "With a highway-capable top speed of 65mph, the RM1S is our fastest and most powerful electric motorcycle. Having previously expressed interest in a faster model, we wanted you to be the first to know about its upcoming launch." This news is sure to excite those who have been eagerly awaiting a faster version of the RM1.

Unfortunately, for those who did not express interest in a faster model, they will have to wait a bit longer than the customers who received the message from Maeving. The pre-order page for the RM1S will open to the public at a later date.

The original Maeving RM1 was introduced last year as the first model from the Coventry-based manufacturer. It was designed with a retro-style, aiming to evoke nostalgia for the motorcycle manufacturing heritage of the English Midlands, particularly in Coventry where Maeving is located.

While the 65mph top speed is the main highlight of the newly revealed RM1S, other details about the motorcycle remain a mystery. It can be assumed that the increase in top speed will result in more power and possibly more torque from the motor. However, it is unclear if the RM1S will be lighter than the standard model, or if there will be any changes to the chassis specifications.

Speculation suggests that there might also be changes in the visuals of the RM1S, potentially giving it a more sporty tone. However, apart from the increased top speed, any other information about the bike is purely speculative at this point.
