65mph Maeving RM1S development underway
【Summary】Maeving is launching a faster version of its RM1 electric motorcycle, called the RM1S. The new model will have a top speed of 65mph, 20mph faster than the standard model. Existing customers were notified about the upcoming launch, while others have to wait for the pre-order page to open. Details about the RM1S, such as its power, torque, weight, and chassis specifications, are still unknown. It is speculated that the new model might have a more sporty design.
Maeving is preparing to launch a new and faster version of its RM1 electric motorcycle, known as the RM1S. The announcement was made through a message sent to existing Maeving customers on August 22, 2023. According to the message, the RM1S will have a top speed of 65mph, which is 20mph faster than the standard model.
The message sent to customers stated, "With a highway-capable top speed of 65mph, the RM1S is our fastest and most powerful electric motorcycle. Having previously expressed interest in a faster model, we wanted you to be the first to know about its upcoming launch."
Unfortunately, for those who did not express interest in a faster model, the pre-order page will open at a later date than those who received the message from Maeving. The RM1 was launched last year as the first model from Maeving, with a retro design aimed at evoking nostalgia for the motorcycle manufacturing heritage of the English Midlands, especially Coventry where Maeving is based.
As for the newly revealed RM1S, apart from the increased top speed of 65mph, its details remain a mystery. It is expected that the higher top speed will require more power and torque from the motor. However, it is unclear if the RM1S will be lighter than the standard version or if there will be any changes to its chassis specifications.
Speculations suggest that there might be changes in the visuals of the RM1S, possibly with a more sporty tone. However, at this point, any information other than the top speed of the bike is purely speculative. For more information, interested individuals can visit the Maeving website to check out the standard RM1 model or read the review on the Maeving RM1 (2022) Electric Motorcycle.
