Maeving is preparing to launch a new version of its RM1 electric motorcycle, called the RM1S. Existing customers received a message on August 22, 2023, announcing the upcoming release of the faster 'S' model. The RM1S will have a top speed of 65mph, which is 20mph faster than the standard model.

The message sent to customers stated, "With a highway-capable top speed of 65mph, the RM1S is our fastest and most powerful electric motorcycle. Having previously expressed interest in a faster model, we wanted you to be the first to know about its upcoming launch."

For those who did not express interest in a faster model, the wait for the pre-order page to open will be a bit longer than for those who received the message from Maeving.

The original Maeving RM1 was launched last year as the first model from the Coventry-based manufacturer. It was designed with a retro style, aiming to evoke nostalgia for the motorcycle manufacturing heritage of the English Midlands, particularly Coventry.

As for the newly revealed Maeving RM1S, apart from the increased top speed of 65mph, its other details remain a mystery. The higher top speed suggests that the motor will have more power and possibly more torque. However, it is unclear if the 'S' model will be lighter than the standard version, and there is no information available about its chassis specifications.

There is speculation that the visuals of the RM1S may have a more sporty tone, but at this point, any details beyond the top speed are purely speculative.

For more information, you can visit the Maeving website to check out the standard RM1 or read the review of the Maeving RM1 (2022) Electric Motorcycle, which is being hailed as the motorcycle of the future.
