The second-generation Lexus LM is set to make its debut in Australia in December, following its global reveal in April. The luxury MPV will be initially available in a seven-seat configuration, with the LM 350h Sports Luxury variant being priced at AUD160,888 (RM477,112).
This variant of the LM features a series-parallel hybrid powertrain, which offers a total system output of 250 PS (247 hp or 184 kW) and 270 Nm of torque. This powertrain is similar to the one used in the Alphard, consisting of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine, a front electric motor, and an E-CVT.
Customers also have the option to add all-wheel drive to the LM, which includes a rear electric motor as part of Toyota's E-Four system. This upgrade raises the price to AUD165,888 (RM491,885). For those seeking more power, the LM range will be expanded in early 2024 to include the LM 500h Ultra Luxury variant.
The LM 500h will be equipped with a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid powertrain and standard all-wheel drive. Although similar to the setup found in the RX 500h F Sport Performance, the LM's total system output is slightly lower at 354 PS (349 hp or 260 kW).
Priced at AUD220,888 (RM655,051), the LM 500h offers the only option for the ultraluxe four-seat configuration. This includes two individual rear seats that are electrically adjustable and feature an ottoman function.
Additional features of the LM include a 48-inch widescreen display, a built-in refrigerator, a 23-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, and Rear Climate Concierge, which manages various cabin settings for passenger comfort.
