Bugatti Chiron honors brand's legacy

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Golden Era has been unveiled as a unique and meticulously adorned tribute to Bugatti's rich history. This special edition, designed according to the preferences of a highly esteemed customer, pays homage to the iconic W16 engine and the historic models that solidified Bugatti's status as a renowned luxury brand.

Adorned with a hand-drawn mural showcasing 45 legendary Bugatti models, the creation of this artwork alone required over 400 hours of meticulous craftsmanship. Bugatti itself described the process as "extremely intimidating." The ink used for the mural was specifically developed for durability, ensuring that it will last for the lifetime of the car.

The passenger door of the Chiron Super Sport Golden Era showcases 26 cars, including the illustrious Type 41 Royale, which was hailed as the world's most luxurious car upon its launch in 1926. Additionally, the door features the Type 57 SC Atlantic, a personal favorite of Achim Anscheidt, Bugatti's former design director who supervised this extraordinary project.

On the driver's side, the "modern" era of Bugatti is depicted through sketches of the EB110, Veyron, and the Chiron itself. As a tribute to the 16-cylinder engine that has been a signature of Bugatti for the past two decades, the doors also showcase detailed sketches of the 3712 components that make up the engine.

The entire car is adorned in a striking two-tone color scheme, with Doré gold and Nocturne black accentuating its design. Achim Anscheidt, who recently retired from his role as Bugatti's chief designer, expressed his admiration for the creativity of Bugatti's customers and the pride the company takes in bringing their dreams to life. However, extensive special commissions like this are incredibly rare, with only one or two projects of this magnitude typically undertaken each year.
