CamperKing introduces new VW Pursuit day van

CamperKing has introduced its latest day van, the Pursuit, which is based on the Volkswagen Transporter. The Pursuit is a unique vehicle that combines elements of a passenger vehicle, a panel van, and a campervan conversion. Spencer Grey, the Managing Director of CamperKing, explains that the Pursuit is designed to cater to adventurous and free-spirited individuals who need a flexible vehicle to meet their daily needs. It offers a large load space, multiple passenger-carrying options, off-grid capability, and more. The Pursuit is meant to provide independence and freedom from the restrictions of everyday camping, allowing users to use it for both work and weekend adventures.

The Pursuit is available in two versions: the Pursuit 2, which can accommodate two people, and the Pursuit 4, which can accommodate four people. Both versions are offered in short or long wheelbase options. The van features a bespoke rail-floor system with four floor-bonded rails that are compatible with various accessories and equipment. It comes with a full-width folding rear three-seater bed, a 60-litre underslung fresh water tank, a high-pressure shower attachment, and three 20Ah lithium leisure batteries. The Pursuit also includes CamperKing's power management system, curtains throughout, and a choice of upholstery finishes.

One of the key features of the Pursuit is its ability to create a large storage area at the back of the vehicle by pulling the three-seater bed forward on the rails. This area can be used to carry bikes, camping gear, fishing tackle, and more. The Pursuit 2 does not have a pop-top roof but can be fitted with an optional roof rack system from Front Runner, which offers various equipment for overland camping. The Pursuit 4, on the other hand, has a CamperKing pop-top roof that provides two additional berths for family camping. The roof can be fitted with optional solar panels and a half-roof rack from Front Runner.

Inside, the Pursuit does not have the typical furniture kit and cooking facilities found in a campervan. Instead, the leisure system is hidden behind an interior panel, maximizing the internal space. The rail system allows for the easy installation and removal of accessories such as jump seats and modular cooking or washing pods.
