Ghostly Hearse

If you're looking to ride in style even in the afterlife, Italian company Biemme Special Cars has transformed the Rolls-Royce Ghost into an extravagant hearse. Retaining the sedan's signature rear-hinged doors and luxurious interior, the Ghoster, as it's known, boasts a sleek design that closely resembles the regular-production Ghost. The hearse features an upward-sloping roof panel, large side windows with a bright frame, and a notably long wheelbase. Biemme achieved this by expanding the Ghost's body with a tubular structure covered in steel panels.

The passenger compartment of the Ghoster resembles the standard Ghost, with customization options available depending on your preferences. Expect wood interior trim, leather upholstery, and other luxurious features as standard. Surprisingly, Biemme even offers a 1,300-watt sound system, because apparently, you might want that in a hearse. Optional extras include a built-in drink cooler, Starlight headliner, internet connectivity, LED interior lighting, and curtains for the rear doors.

Biemme has divided the passenger and coffin compartments with a shatter-proof divider. The hearse also includes a power-operated platform and LED lighting in the coffin area. The same high-quality wood trim and leather upholstery found in the passenger compartment add a finishing touch to the design.

Mechanically, the Ghoster remains unchanged from the standard Ghost. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.7-liter V12 engine, delivering 563 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. Despite the additional weight of the hearse conversion, the Ghoster should still offer respectable acceleration.

Pricing for the Ghoster has not yet been announced by Biemme. For reference, the standard Rolls-Royce Ghost starts at around $350,000.
