One of the remarkable features of these air taxis is their ability to operate without traditional infrastructure like airports or runways. They can take off and land vertically from any flat surface, such as rooftops, parking lots, or parks.

After a rigorous evaluation process that lasted over 1,000 days, Ehang received certification from the CAAC, allowing them to commence commercial operations of their air taxis in China. This achievement marks a significant step forward in the field of urban air mobility.
