Chairman increases investment in high-end auto maker

Aston Martin's chairman, Lawrence Stroll, has recently increased his stake in the luxury car manufacturer. Through his investment vehicle, the Yew Tree Consortium, Stroll purchased an additional 26 million shares, resulting in a 3.27% increase in his total share capital, which now stands at 26.23%.

Prior to this transaction, Stroll was already Aston Martin's largest shareholder. The remaining top shareholders include Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, Geely, and Mercedes Benz.

Expressing his confidence in Aston Martin's future, Lawrence Stroll, on behalf of the Yew Tree Consortium, stated, "This additional investment demonstrates the Yew Tree Consortium's continuing confidence and belief in the future of Aston Martin. The Company has undergone a significant transformation since our initial investment three years ago."

Stroll further emphasized the progress made by the company, saying, "We have successfully rebuilt this iconic company, transforming it into an ultra-luxury brand with a portfolio of highly desirable, performance-driven cars. This increased investment reflects our long-term commitment to the company, our conviction for the future, and the shareholder value that the company will deliver."
