EGO POWER is well-known for its electric lawn care tools, including mowers, string trimmers, and chain saws. However, the company has recently introduced something that stands out from its work-focused catalog - an electric mini bike. Named the EGO POWER+ Mini Bike, this fun and exciting vehicle utilizes the same lithium-ion battery packs that power their leaf blowers, allowing riders to enjoy the thrill of flying over jumps.

It's important to note that the EGO POWER+ Mini Bike is not street legal, so it should only be used on dirt trails and off-road riding areas. This limitation is probably for the best considering its top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h), which would make it challenging to keep up with traffic on most roads.

Instead of using the mini bike for commuting, riders are more likely to spend their time off-roading with its cute little tires, slinging dirt around and having fun.

The mini bike is powered by a pair of 56V 7.5Ah ARC Lithium batteries from EGO, providing a maximum range of up to 18 miles (29 km) with a battery capacity of 840 Wh. It offers three riding modes - Eco, Normal, and Sport - with the 18-mile range most likely achieved in Eco mode. Additionally, it features a reverse mode, which is essential considering the size of the bike.

Although it may appear like a toy with its small proportions, the EGO POWER+ Mini Bike is equipped with full suspension and hydraulic brakes, ensuring a decent ride experience despite its unconventional design.

While the power of the rear hub motor remains unknown, reaching a speed of 28 mph (45 km/h) on a vehicle the size of a rocking horse would undoubtedly feel incredibly fast.

As for the price and availability of the mini bike, details are currently scarce. EGO has not provided any concrete information or images, leaving potential buyers eagerly anticipating its release. All we know is that it will be available "soon."

Although this isn't the first electric mini bike we've seen, it is the first to utilize lawn mower batteries for power. Previous electric mini bikes have primarily been designed for road use, such as Tromox's small electric motorcycles and CSC's City Slicker. Even Honda has shown interest in the market, patenting what appears to be a little electric Grom motorcycle.

An off-road offering like the EGO POWER+ Mini Bike could provide a lot of enjoyment, especially for those with land to explore. With swappable batteries, the 18-mile range can be extended as far as desired. Just be sure not to deplete all the battery packs on the same day you need to mow your lawn, or that task will remain unfinished on the Honey-Do list.
