Toyota unveiled two new concept electric vehicles (EVs) at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China. These EVs, named Comfortable Space and Enjoyable Space, are the result of a joint venture between Guangzhou Automobile Group Co (GAC) and Toyota. It is expected that these vehicles will be exclusively available in China.
The Toyota Comfortable Space, as reported by @TychodeFeijter on X (formerly Twitter), is an electric sedan that bears some resemblance to the bZ Sport Crossover concept. With a length of approximately 5 m (~197 in) and a wheelbase of 3 m (~118 in), this EV features a sleek LED light bar at the front and a coupe-like sloping roofline. Notable exterior elements include cameras instead of wing mirrors, frameless doors, pop-out door handles, and 21-inch wheels. However, details about the drive train and pricing were not disclosed.
In contrast, the Toyota Enjoyable Space SUV is slightly shorter, measuring 4.8 m (~189 in) in length and having a wheelbase of 2.9 m (~114 in). This model, following the bZ FlexSpace concept, also incorporates pop-out door handles, but retains regular wing mirrors. It is anticipated that the Enjoyable Space EV will be available with either single or dual motors, with an estimated starting price of around 250,000 yuan (~US$35,220). The specific launch date for the production versions of both the Enjoyable Space and Comfortable Space EVs remains uncertain, although there are rumors suggesting they will be introduced within the next two years.
