【Summary】A broken-down Tesla Cybertruck was spotted in California, allowing a bystander to capture spy shots of the electric pick-up truck's suspension. The vehicle, believed to be a release candidate or prototype, had engine problems and had to be left covered by the roadside. The images reveal a camouflage pattern and holes that could be for a reversing speaker. The suspension, described as simple but robust, features a rear lower A-arm made of welded steel and an actuator for dynamic damping.

A potential Tesla Cybertruck release candidate was recently found abandoned on the side of the road in California after experiencing engine problems. A motorist passing by took the opportunity to capture some spy shots of the electric pick-up truck, including images of its suspension.

Photos of the abandoned Cybertruck have since been shared online, revealing that the vehicle was covered with a reflective sheet. However, the familiar camouflage pattern on the truck suggests that it may be a release candidate or a prototype that has undergone terrain testing in other parts of the world. One interesting detail captured in the photos is a grouping of holes that could potentially be for a truck reversing speaker.

Further analysis of the Cybertruck's suspension was provided by a former suspension engineer. According to their observations, the rear lower A-arm of the Cybertruck is made of two pieces of welded steel, which differs from the casting at the front. Additionally, there appears to be an actuator that allows for dynamic damping modification. Overall, the comments about the Cybertruck's suspension are positive, describing it as simple yet robust, although it is noted that it could still be a prototype system.
