A potential Tesla Cybertruck release candidate was recently found abandoned on the roadside in California, where it appeared to have broken down. A passerby took advantage of the situation and managed to capture some spy shots of the Cybertruck, including images of its suspension.

Photos of the stranded Tesla Cybertruck have since been shared online, revealing that the vehicle had engine problems and was left covered on the roadside near Los Altos Hills in California. According to reports, a Tesla engineer attempted to fix the issue but ultimately had to leave the vehicle covered and abandoned in the dirt. This provided an opportunity for a curious bystander to take sneaky shots of the forlorn truck.

The images show the Tesla Cybertruck covered with a reflective sheet, but it's also evident that the vehicle features a familiar camouflage pattern. This has led to speculation that it could be a release candidate or possibly a prototype that has undergone terrain testing in other parts of the world. Notably, the bottom of the Cybertruck reveals a grouping of holes that may be intended for a truck reversing speaker.

In a separate report, additional shots of the Tesla Cybertruck's suspension were shared, along with insights from a former suspension engineer. According to the expert, the Cybertruck's suspension includes a rear lower A-arm made of welded steel, which differs from the front casting. Additionally, there appears to be an actuator for dynamic damping modification. Overall, the comments about the Cybertruck's suspension have been positive, describing it as simple but robust, although it should be noted that this could still be a prototype system.
