Exposed Tesla Cybertruck suspension system

A Tesla Cybertruck release candidate was recently spotted by the roadside in California, where it had apparently broken down. Luckily, a resourceful motorist took advantage of the situation and managed to capture some spy shots of the Cybertruck, including images of its suspension.

Photos of the abandoned Cybertruck have been circulating online, showing the vehicle covered and left at the roadside near Los Altos Hills in California. According to reports, a Tesla engineer attempted to fix the problem but ultimately had to leave the truck covered and abandoned in the dirt. This gave an opportunity for a curious bystander to snap some sneaky shots of the forlorn vehicle.

From the images, it is evident that the Tesla Cybertruck is covered with a reflective sheet. However, it also features a familiar camouflage pattern, leading to speculation that it could be a release candidate or even a prototype that has undergone terrain testing in other parts of the world. Additionally, a closer look at the bottom of the Cybertruck reveals a grouping of holes that may be intended for a truck reversing speaker.

In a separate report, more shots of the Tesla Cybertruck's suspension have been shared, along with additional insights from a former suspension engineer. According to the expert, the Cybertruck's suspension includes a rear lower A-arm made of two pieces of welded steel, which differs from the casting at the front. Furthermore, there appears to be an actuator for dynamic damping modification. Overall, the comments about the Cybertruck's suspension are mostly positive, highlighting its simplicity and robustness, although it is noted that this could still be a prototype system.
